How routes work in the appRoute builder FAQ
Last updated
Is the route builder really free?
Yes. Adding stops, mapping them and getting the driving order cost nothing and need no account or card. Saving the route takes a free Grass Go account.
How does it order my stops?
It orders them to cut down the driving. For up to 25 stops it asks Google Maps for the road order; past that, it may order them by distance on the map instead. It doesn’t plan around traffic or appointment times.
What can I add stops from?
Typed or pasted addresses, a CSV, a PDF, or a photo of your handwritten list, up to 20 MB a file. You can also say them out loud. Addresses need to be in the US.
Can I save my route?
Yes, with a free account. Tap Save route and sign up, and the route opens on your schedule in the Grass Go app. Already have an account? Build the route in the app; logging in here doesn’t bring a guest route along.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It runs in the browser on any phone or computer, with nothing to download. A saved route opens in the Grass Go app on iPhone, Android or the web.
