Belle and Brothers Lawn Service

Macomb, Illinois

How a real Macomb, Illinois lawn-care crew runs on Grass Go.

Weekly mowing, tree work, property cleanups, and 50 to 60 invoices a month. One app, one schedule, one place to get paid. Belle and Brothers has been running on Grass Go since spring 2025.

“The recurring schedule handles itself. About half my clients auto-charge on cards on file, I send another 50–60 invoices a month, and estimates go out clear and direct. That freed me up to land more higher-ticket work.”

Real work, real Macomb properties

The case study isn't a render. Here's a Belle and Brothers cleanup property: same address, same crew, two site visits apart.

The week before Grass Go

Before Belle and Brothers moved onto Grass Go in spring 2025, a week of recurring mowing meant a week of paper. Stops written on a clipboard. Invoices typed up on a laptop after dark. Payments chased through text messages and the occasional check that showed up two weeks later. Estimates, especially the one-off tree work and property cleanups that bring in the biggest tickets, got built from scratch every time, and the office work crowded out the actual work in the field.

What changed

The recurring schedule engine handles the weekly mow rotation on its own. Jobs auto-reschedule when they're marked complete, and the next visit shows up the moment the current one closes out. About half of Belle and Brothers' recurring clients sit on Stripe cards on file and auto-charge the moment a service is marked done. The other half get a Stripe-powered invoice straight from the schedule. The crew sends 50 to 60 of those a month without slowing down.

The Grass Go AI Assistant is what made estimating bigger jobs click. Belle and Brothers writes estimates in the field, on the property, with the customer standing there. The assistant lays out the line items and the math by scenario, the estimate goes out clear and direct, and the customer can sign it from their phone before the truck pulls away.

The map view turns 55 active recurring clients into a routable list, not a memory game. Mowing route in the morning, a tree-removal estimate at noon, an invoice sent from the truck before lunch.

What's next for Belle and Brothers

With weekly mowing and invoicing on autopilot, Belle and Brothers has the headroom to say yes to higher-ticket work like tree removals, property cleanups, and the mini skid / mini excavator rental side of the business. The plan for the rest of the season is more of those bigger jobs, on the back of a recurring schedule that doesn't need babysitting.
