Is Grass Go really free?

Yes. The Grass Go app is free for lawn care businesses with no credit card required. Scheduling, client and property management, estimates, the map view, and the AI assistant are all included. You only pay processing fees when a client pays you online by card or bank. Manual, cash, and check payments are always free.

Why 3.6% + 30¢ instead of the standard 2.9% + 30¢?

Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ for online card processing, and Grass Go adds a 0.7% platform fee on top. That covers Stripe's per-payout and per-active-account fees and lets us keep the rest of the app free for every lawn care business. No monthly subscription, no per-seat charge, no hidden upcharge on invoices.

What about bank or ACH payments?

Stripe charges substantially less for bank and ACH transfers than for cards, so you net more on those payments. The 0.7% Grass Go fee is the same, but the Stripe portion is much smaller. The estimates in the app and on this page show the conservative card rate, so a bank-paid invoice typically deposits a little more than the calculator predicts.

What about the phone system?

The Grass Go business phone system is an optional add-on for $24.99/month. It includes a dedicated business phone number, real two-way calling and SMS, call recording, and 100 call minutes and 100 SMS per month. After subscribing, you complete a short registration form so we can verify your business with the carriers and set up the line.

What about the AI receptionist?

The AI receptionist is included with the phone system add-on at no additional cost. It can answer calls, take detailed messages, and transfer callers to you. The receptionist is currently in early beta, so we recommend keeping standard call forwarding as your primary routing while the AI continues to improve and learn your business.

Can I try Grass Go before committing?
